It’s not far away now and on Friday Prince William and Kate Middleton will be getting married in what has been described as the event of the year, but is everyone really interested in another Royal Wedding and is it something to really get excited about?

There will be around 1,900 guest at the wedding and some have even said that their will be far more people lining the streets of London for the procession than there have been for previous Royal Weddings, TV channels are going mad over getting the key locations for live broadcasts of the event and we’ve even been told that the day will be classed as a Bank Holiday, as if we need another one!
As around 13:25 the couple will walk on to the balcony of Buckingham Palace and perform the obligatory “Balcony Kiss”, followed by a fly by five minutes later to celebrate.
So what will you be doing? Are you even bothered? Is this all just a bit of pomp and circumstance?

I might watch a bit of it, I feel connected in a way since I did watch his parents get married. Granted, I will not be glued to my set to see the nuptials, that is why they invented TIVO right, but I might zip through them later, tissues in hand.

Ah Ha, the wonders of the TIVO, or in our case here in the UK, we have Sky+
There may be a lot of street parties going on as well!

I don’t think they will be partying in the streets here in celebration of the nuptials, partying for spring maybe, if it ever arrives ..

Hey there Slappy!
So did you and your human-owner get an invite to the Royal Wedding? Mine must have been lost in the mail. But that’s okay I wouldn’t be able to attend anyway. I’ll be at Fort Benning, GA for my human-owners graduation day where he officially becomes a U.S. Army soldier! Yay PVT Benjamin Jeffrey!

Hi Slappy Bear, I’m a huge fan of the royal wedding but I’ll be honest it’s hard to believe they are spending so much money on the biggest wedding in the world while people in Japan are starving, loving their family and having a hard time to live.
Sometimes I think we just don’t see things in a big picture when were focused on our own greedy needs and in this case they are being greedy!
I heard they asked everyone to donate money to charity as their wedding gifts but I haven’t been able to confirm this as of yet.

Thanks for stopping by. I don’t know about donating money to charity, maybe they should take the cost of the whole event and donate that to charity!!!
